Meals & Food

Hot Lunch – A delicious hot lunch from the CAP program is served every Wednesday from 12-1. Please call Denise in advance to make a reservation at (360) 762-3111. The cost is $4.

Cinnamon Rolls, Coffee and Conversation – We have the best cinnamon rolls in town… the only thing that matches them is the community and conversation around the table. Join us Mondays between 9AM and 12PM. $2 per cinnamon roll.  The coffee’s on us.

Potluck – We have a potluck lunch the third Friday of every month at 12 noon. Bring a main dish, side dish, salad or dessert and join us.

Commodities –  delivered to the Front Parking Lot of the Senior Center every 3rd Thursday (requires card from CAP in Longview)

Games

No need to sign up ahead for these activities, just drop in, all are welcome. Some activities have fees and some do not.

Pool – Love playing Pool?  Join us Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 9AM to 12PM.

Pinochle – We play Pinochle Single Deck on the first, second and third Thursday of each month. Come join us for fun and community.

Bingo – Bingo is a Saturday tradition at the Senior Center. Join us from 1PM to 3PM for popcorn, lots of fun… and cash prizes! We request a $4 contribution to the prize “kitty”.

Bunco (currently on recess) – Bunco is lots of fun and easy to learn. Join us the second Monday of each month. $4.

Jigsaw Puzzles are always available.

Yoga – Join us for gentle yoga for any level and any age.

Exercise Class – Join us for gentle exercise for any level and any age.

Bean Bag Baseball – The CRSC Rockets have fun challenging other Senior Facilities to a bean bag baseball game each month. Check the calendar for our next big game.

Castle Rock Quilters – The Castle Rock Quilters meet in a non-structured format to work on quilting project, as well as other projects you’re welcome to bring, such as your crocheting, knitting, cross-stitch and embroidery.  Every year the Castle Rock Quilters make a beautiful quilt that is raffled off to benefit the Senior Center. We welcome all to join us and be part of this wonderful community.  We meet every Thursday from 10am to 2 pm.

Write Your Life Story Class – In this class, you’ll be guided in writing on topics such as your school days, life celebrations, vacations, families, or any other topic of interest to you. You will be connecting and sharing with others doing the same. Lots of laughter… and sometimes tears are shared.  This class meets the first and third Tuesday of each month from 12pm to 3 pm.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Spring & Fall Rummage & Bake Sales – Each Spring and Fall we have a rummage and bake sale to help raise money for the Senior Center. If you’ve been saving up rummage items to donate, or if you’re just looking to buy a few things, please check the calendar for our next sale. 

Tax Aid – Each year during Tax Season AARP provides tax filing assistance to our members for free.  Check the calendar for the Tax Aid dates starting in January of each year.

Flu Shots – Each Fall local pharmacies provide free flu shots for our members at the Senior Center. Check the calendar for the next Flue Shot day.

Guest Speakers – We love to learn, and so we regularly bring in speakers who share information and inspiration of interest to our members. If there is a topic you are interested in either having us address OR that you would like to speak on, please contact us.  Check the calendar for upcoming speaker events.
